The Latest
Here are some of the more interesting SURGE-related auctions currently going on. We will be updating this section a lot so check back often!

Did you know that by clicking on one of the auctions below and placing a bid supports SaveSURGE.org? If you're going to bid, then do so through our listings below!

*SaveSURGE.org is not responsible for the quality of the items in these auctions. This is simply a list of items that are for sale on eBay and SaveSURGE.org does not endorse them in any way.

Background
It's been brought to our attention that 12 packs of SURGE are now being sold over the world-famous auction site, eBay (www.ebay.com), for as much as $160.08 (click here to view the auction), breaking the previous record of $152.50 (click here to view the auction), another went for $65.00 (click here to view the auction), in August 2004 a 12 pack went for $78.24 (click here to view the auction) and in September 2004 another went for $98.00 (click here to view the auction). While the price may seem excessive to some, it's obvious that there are plenty of people out there who are willing to pay top dollar to acquire their favorite citrus soda.

So, we at SaveSURGE.org must ask the question: What does this mean to our cause? Here are a few thoughts...

  1. First and foremost, these auctions prove that there is a demand for SURGE. That doesn't necessarily mean that it would outsell Coca-Cola Classic, but there is no doubt that a market exists.

  2. Coca-Cola and its bottlers are missing the boat on SURGE. The reason that these auctions are garnering so much attention and money stems from the fact that SURGE fans are desperate to find the beverage of their choice. If SURGE were brought back to the marketplace either via store shelves or even online sales, Coke would be giving the people what they want. Such a move would raise customer satisfaction, not to mention loyalty.

  3. The SaveSURGE community are 100% dedicated to their cause. Coca-Cola often boasts (and rightly so) about how TAB drinkers are so loyal and persistent that the drink will always have a presence in the Coke product lineup. SURGE fans who visit this site, write letters, make phone calls and spread the word any way they can have shown equal (if not greater) desire to see their favorite product live on. TAB has been around since the 1960's and has taken several decades to build a dedicated following. SURGE has been around since 1997 and has already matched it.

  4. The SaveSURGE movement is more than a fad. Heck, the site has already lasted more than a year and has been growing stronger every day. We're constantly receiving more letters, more stories, more pictures and more support from SURGE Lovers who miss their favorite soda. This site and this movement are here to bring SURGE back and we're not going to stop caring about the beverage or the people who love it.

We at SaveSURGE.org urge you all to continue your great efforts towards bringing SURGE back. We've come so far already and if we keep trying, we will succeed! For more information on what you can do to Save SURGE, visit our How You Can Help page.

Sincerely,
