For the Love of SURGE

Steve's SURGE Story
Steve wrote in and shared the story of his first time drinking a SURGE and other early SURGE memories:

Surge....maybe the best word in the websters dictionary.

I have so many memories of surge...

Like In the Super Bowl when I saw the first commercials and was excited to try a new citrus soda. Then the first time I tried it I thought it was too fizzy and didnt like it. But when I was forced to drink it again It started to grow on me. Eventually it was my favorite soda and I was a Surgeaholic.

Although some of my memories stand apart from the rest. Like on a road trip with my uncle to North Dakota (from Wisconsin). That day I got up at around 600 am to start the trip. I brought along a twelve pack of soda, the soda was Surge. I drank six cans and along the way saw some abnormally cheap and so I bought a bottle (20oz) and a liter bottle. I drank both and saved the six cans for later in ND. It was the second fullest I ever got, but my uncle said I wasnt hyper at all just happy to be satisfied with Surge :)

My second memory was at rocky roccocos where they served surge into 2002 until the whole restaraunt shut down. Now, Idk if you know but Rockys is a pizza place and my family and I ate 3 pizzas and i was already full, we had drank 2 pitchers of Coke. Then Only my older sis and I werent completly stuffed and she got the advantage so we ordered a pitcher of sprite becuase she didnt like surge. She only drank a little so she left it up to me to finish the pitcher after this I was stuffed fuller than critics are when they say the red sox will go far. Yet, I loved my surge so i went up to the counter barely able to walk and asked for a pitcher of Surge. I drank two glasses and sprinted (the ugliest sprint youd ever seen) to the restroom. I was in there 2 more times b4 we left and then up all night when we got home.

If Surge came back I wouldn't take it for granted and id by it all the time instead of when I thought it was a good price,

Thats my love of Surge. Peace Out

Thanks Steve! Oddly enough, I wasn't crazy about my first SURGE either.
I wasn't ready for how strong it tasted, but I got used to it pretty quick :)
