Hello again everyone and welcome to the 39th edition
of SaveSURGE News. It's the place that gives SURGE the royal treatment.
Sightings Report
------------------------
There have been 6 new SURGE
Sightings since the last edition of SaveSURGE News. They are
in: CA, CO, MA, NC (2) & OH.
Sadly, there were 2 deletions. They are in: Lafayette,
IN & Westerville, OH.
Currently, there are 184 SURGE Sightings listed.
Thanks to everyone who's reported a Sighting!
The SaveSURGE.org Store Opens
--------------------------------------------------
SURGE fans asked for it and now we've delivered! You can now buy
t-shirts and bumper stickers bearing the www.SaveSURGE.org URL through
the brand spankin' new SaveSURGE.org Store!!!!
The store is run through a service called Café
Press (www.cafepress.com)
who will handle all printing, shipping and billing arrangements
for us. Special thanks goes to Marcus from www.misinformer.com for
guiding us in Café Press's direction.
You can access The SaveSURGE.org Store through
the banner on our front page or access it directly by visiting http://www.cafepress.com/savesurge
. We are selling all items at cost (we do not profit from the sales
whatsoever), which means you get the lowest prices possible. Even
more importantly, you're spreading the word about SaveSURGE.org!
We also ask that you read some legal info about
our store which is available at: http://www.savesurge.org/surge/storeterms.html
*Please note that all items in the store are representing
and promoting www.SaveSURGE.org and NOT SURGE soda. SURGE is a registered
trademark of The Coca-Cola Company and is not affiliated with SaveSURGE.org
in any way. As always, we ask that you please not sue us!
$URGE on eBay
------------------------
The recent prices garnered by 12 packs of SURGE and other SURGE-related
merchandise on eBay auctions has prompted us to create a special
section on the website. For example, an unopened 12 pack of SURGE
recently went for a whopping $65.00! Just one week earlier, another
12 pack brought in $49.92.
This shows us all that, without a doubt, there
is a market out there for SURGE. If people are willing to pay such
exorbitant prices for 12 cans of their favorite soda, then we have
to think that it's time to bring SURGE back to the marketplace.
Check out our special section dedicated to this
issue by clicking on the banner on our home page or access it directly
at: http://www.savesurge.org/surge/surgeauctions.html
Join the Club
-------------------
Jim is one of the biggest SURGE fans around and last week he provided
further proof of this by creating the one and only Save SURGE Soda
Club on Yahoo! It's a great place to chat with other SURGE fans,
share your pictures and a whole lot more. You can check out the
club at this address: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/savesurgesoda/
We encourage all SURGE fans to join. Thanks Jim!
Poet Seeks SURGE
------------------------------
Many of you may already know the name of Charles Ellard because
he is the young man who writes many great poems that are featured
in our For the Love of SURGE
section. He's done many nice things for us, and now it's time we
do something nice for him!
Charles is getting married in June and would love
it if he could get some SURGE at his wedding. If anyone out there
can donate some citrus love for this great cause, please e-mail
us at surge@savesurge.org
and we will let Charles know.
Bottler of the Week
-----------------------------
This week's SaveSURGE.org Bottler of the Week award represents the
folks in Green Bay, WI and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Chicago:
Coca-Cola Bottling Company of
Chicago
7400 North Oak Park Avenue
Niles, IL 60714
Send those letters and let 'em know that those
cold Wisconsin winters would be a lot easier to handle with SURGE!
For your convenience we've provided a form letter
that you can just print, sign and mail in our How
You Can Help page.
Would you like your local Coca-Cola bottler to
be the next SaveSURGE.org Bottler of the Week? If so, e-mail us
your name, hometown, zip code and any bottler information you might
have (it's ok if you don't know who your bottler is, we should be
able to locate it for you) to us at: surge@savesurge.org.
That's all the time we have for this week. Thanks to each and every
one of you for your support!
Sincerely,
Eric Karkovack
