For the Love of SURGE

Mark Saves SURGE in the US Air Force
TSgt Mark Godwin of the United States Air Force took time out of his busy schedule to share his love for SURGE. He not only helped preserve his favorite drink while stationed in Japan, he also has just one can which he's saving for a special occasion. Read his story below:

You guys rock. I still have one more can of SURGE left in my collections. I am saving it for a special moment. That moment is when I make E-7(Master Sgt) in the Air Force. I drank my second to my last can of SURGE when I make E-6 (Tech Sgt).

My last two cans of SURGE were given to me by a friend of mine's wife while I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. She kept her fridge stocked with SURGE for me when my wife and I came over to visit. While they discontinued SURGE in the USA, they had big stock of it at or Commissary at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa long after the discontinuation. I ran the snack bar in my squadron, and I always had the snack bar stocked with SURGE. I was promoting SURGE big time in my squadron. I am an Aerial Gunner on HH-60G Pavehawk Rescue Helicopter's in the Air Force. A lot of the guys would come in tired in the morning before a flight, and they would pound a can of SURGE and go fly. They loved it. But they started rioting when I told them that Coke discontinued SURGE. I am so stoked that ya'll are trying to promote the bring back of SURGE. Keep up the good work.
