For the Love of SURGE

Kaleb Tries Matt's Recipe for Home Made SURGE
Matt's SURGE Recipe calls for dnL and Sunn Delight. Kaleb tried it out and shared his thoughts below:

Hey SAVESurge! My friend John just told me about this site and let me tell you. It's great. Knowing that I'm not the only Surge freak out there is great. I really think Surge will come back now. Anyway, he told me about a good replacement for now (well, nothing could replace SURGE). So, I got...

  • 20 Oz DnL
  • Sunny Delight, get the original kind, doing otherwise will make it taste horrible.

Now, fill the almost full 20 Oz DnL with Sunny Delight until it's just near full. Put the cap on and give it a little shake. Now, take a small drink of it and fill it again. This time, stop filling the DnL with SD until the color looks exactly like Surge. If it's too green, too much SD and if it's too light, not enough SD. Although if I had to rate this to the resemblance of Surge, I'd give it 8-9/10 on the first couple of drinks, but after awhile it tastes kind of gross. I would rather go to more trouble of getting REAL Surge but I know some of you won't be able to, thus this recipe will make you a little happy. Besides, some of you less fortunate people haven't had Surge in years so you might not even remember it.
