For the Love of SURGE

Joseph's SURGE Poem
The following is a poem sent in to us by Joseph. The title, "Carpe Vertum", is Latin and means "Seize the Green". Beautiful work, Joseph!

Carpe Vertum

Others may falter,
But I'll never forget
Your taste.

I lock the car
And race through the parking lot.
As I enter,
I check the machine
And breathe a sigh of relief.

You're still here.

I pay for my cup
[Extra Large]
And race to the fountain
Before my sandwich
Arrives.

I press her to the logo
And smile
As she fills with
The Emerald Ambrosia.

Eagerly, I bring her
To my lips
And fill my mouth
With Sharp Lime
Carbonation.

The Green Tingle continues
Across my tongue as
I take a seat.

God, this Surge was worth
Driving forty-nine
Miles for.
