7 Question Interview with Will Brandum
Will Brandum earned his induction into the SaveSURGE.org Hall of Fame the hard way. He was among the first contributors to the site and he has been doing his part to bring back SURGE ever since. We all know about his famous SURGE Cab but his contributions to the site go way beyond that. He has designed his own SURGE logo, shared photos of his memorabilia and has spread the word about SURGE and the site wherever he goes. Will was kind enough to answer some questions about his spot in the Hall:

1. What’s the best part about being in the SaveSURGE.org Hall of Fame?
I didn’t realize that I had done enough to earn HoF status; I was just having a good time! Progress is being made towards our goal, and it’s a good feeling to know that I’ve been able to help. It’s nice to be recognized for making a difference.

2. What makes SURGE your favorite soda?
It’s unlike any other drink on the market. And they gave me a car. ; )

3. Do you think Coca-Cola and its bottlers will bring SURGE back?
I’m generally optimistic about its return. It will just take a few more letters and calls.

4. Describe how you felt when you realized that SURGE was no longer available in bottles and cans.
Disappointed and thirsty. I thought, “How can I tell people about my Surge soda cab if no one knows what Surge soda is?”

5. How did you feel when you found out that SaveSURGE.org was trying to bring it back?
I thought it was a cool idea, and I always cheer for the underdog. Funny business, though: trying to convince a multi-million dollar company to let us make them more money.

6. If Coca-Cola gave you the chance to tell them why SURGE should come back in 25 words or less, what would you say to them?
Either:
Surge: the most unique soda available, in taste, appearance, and marketing. The fun loving people who drank it are still out there. Why isn’t Surge?
Or:
People are paying over $100 for 12 cans of soda two years out of date. How much would they pay for a fresh supply?

7. Why do you feel that you have been enshrined as a member of the SaveSURGE.org Hall of Fame?
I bribed the right people. HA!. No, I guess I must be doing something right. Hope so. : )
