7 Question Interview with Jim Halvorson
Jim Halvorson is a man who's worked very hard to bring the soda he loves
back to store shelves everywhere. He's always in contact with a Coca-Cola
bottler or a local business requesting that SURGE be returned to its rightful
place. His efforts to bring back the soda he loves puts him in a class
with the all time greats. He shares his thoughts on being inducted into
the Hall of Fame and the wonders of SURGE below:
1. How does it feel to be recognized in a Hall of Fame?
It feels awesome! I am so grateful to be it the Hall of fame with such
Surge fans.
2. How has SURGE changed your life?
Made me believe that there is a god. No, kidding. It has made me very
passionate about the things I care about. Now I fight for things I believe
in.
3. If Coca-Cola asked you why SURGE should be brought back, what would
you say to them?
Dear Coke, You need to bring back Surge to the masses. Many thousand,
if not millions of people love it. I dream about it night and day and
can't wait to get my hands on some again. Please stop messing with ridiculous
beverages like tropical remix Sprite and try marketing Surge again. Trust
me, you won't be sorry.
4. Do you have a favorite SURGE-related memory?
I remember my friend Travis and I drinking many many 20-ounces while playing
guitar and Nintendo. We would be so wired all night long.
5. What gives you hope that SURGE will be brought back?
Probably all the sighting and great fans that ask around if stores can
get some.
6. How would you describe the taste of SURGE compared to other citrus
sodas (Mountain Dew, Squirt, Mello Yello, etc.)? Describe what makes SURGE
so unique.
All the other drinks don't compare. They are either too citrusy or don't
have enough fizz. Surge is unique because it has bite and it is so much
smoother.
7. Lastly, why do you think you are being inducted into the SaveSURGE.org
Hall of Fame?
I hope it's because I give updates on sightings, Ebay auction notices,
I started the Save Surge Yahoo group page, and I love the Surge more than
anything.
